Annie wears a lot of different hats
Teaching
As one of the rising horn pedagogues, Annie specializes in teaching young horn players, prepping students for college, and working with all ages on the importance of the embouchure to air.
Research
Annie has a deep passion for innovative research. She has produced many creative projects about film music history, positive practice habits, and the relationship of face anatomy to the physics of the air.
Performances
As a freelance horn player, Annie’s played with music legends and performed with nearly every major orchestra in LA. She has recorded for motion pictures, TV, video games, and theme parks.
Embouchure & Face Anatomy Specialist
Annie works with brass players (of all levels and ages) to assess their embouchure setup and air usage, helping them understand the importance of the muscles in the face and proper air support. She custom designs exercises to strengthen weaker muscles allowing the embouchure to work in a more efficient and symmetric fashion. By understanding the teamwork of the air and embouchure, players can begin to understand and feel a difference even after the first lesson.
